Frank J. Bertuca is an aggressive litigator
with numerous trial and appellate victories on behalf of his clients.
Frank joined Katz Friedman as a workers' compensation attorney in
1999. He proudly represents injured workers in the airline, automotive
manufacturing, construction, law enforcement and fire protection industries.
Frank also speaks to unions and professional organizations on the
subject of work injuries. Prior to joining Katz Friedman, he practiced
work injury law and pension litigation for several years.
Frank developed an interest in litigation and ethical standards early
in his career. As an undergraduate student, he was privileged to clerk
for the Hon. Ronald Dozier in McClean County Circuit Court, where
he assisted in divorce and personal injury cases. He also worked on
general civil law cases as a clerk for the Hon. James Knecht in the
4th District Appellate Court of Illinois. In 1991, he earned his Juris
Doctorate from Chicago-Kent College of Law, where he was a member
of Moot Court Society. As an undergraduate, he studied economics and
graduated cum laude in 1988 from Illinois State University.
He was a founding member of ISU's trial advocacy team. Frank is a
member of the Chicago Bar Association, the Illinois State Bar Association,
and the Workers' Compensation Lawyers Association. |
